For the third time since August 2022, Patrick Carroll, CARROLL’s founder & CEO, surprised 600 youth members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America with a new pair of shoes. Prior to bringing the Kicks for Kids event to Atlanta on March 23, the CARROLL team brought the lively shoe giveaway to Miami and Tampa in 2022, donating $200,000’s worth of sneakers to roughly 1,200 children across the Sunshine State. Growing up, CEO Patrick Carroll was a youth member of a Boys & Girls Club in Tampa, fueling his philanthropic drive to support today’s youth who may struggle with having the right footwear for school and extracurricular activities.
Thursday’s Kicks for Kids event in Atlanta, home to CARROLL’s global headquarters, evolved to be much more than just a shoe giveaway. In addition to a pizza party, the children received a surprise visit from Blooper (the Braves’ mascot) on top of having an assortment of games to play (e.g. tricycle racing), a live painting by Jocelyn Chen, and more. Approximately 16 individuals from CARROLL’s Atlanta office volunteered at the event as well, playing games with children, distributing shoes, and lending a hand to staff members to help the event run smoothly.
A special thank you to everyone who made the Atlanta event a success, especially the team at the Warren Boys & Girls Club! CARROLL is honored to collaborate with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and we are excited to bring Kids to Kicks to a fourth city soon!
