CARROLL’s Orlando Team Shines Despite Hurricane Ian’s Destruction

CARROLL continues to develop innovative maintenance practices – even in the face of a natural disaster.

In this ever-changing multifamily industry, CARROLL continues to develop innovative maintenance practices – even in the face of a natural disaster. Hurricane Ian pushed CARROLL’s Florida-based maintenance teams to implement new strategies that were still in the development stage. These new strategies involved centralizing the vacant turn process, ultimately resulting in consistent quality and increased morale and productivity. When the hurricane made landfall on September 28th, chaos ensued – people were flooded out of their homes, countless belongings destroyed. There was an immediate need for vacant units and the CARROLL team swooped in to help.

The Firm’s maintenance teams in Orlando took a proactive approach, quickly putting their innovative maintenance plans into action ahead of schedule – 90 apartments were prepared for individuals and families displaced by the storm on top of completing more than 700 service requests in less than 7 days. This achievement was made possible by the maintenance professionals at CARROLL’s 10 Orlando properties who were united with a clear goal and plan of action. Despite hardships, such as hurricanes or economic turbulence, CARROLL embraces challenges and pivots as needed, allowing us to continue to lead the pack in multifamily real estate.
